Golf Punk Nearest The Pin Contest at the 150th Open
Golf Punk organised a nearest the pin contest on the Golf Simulator for 6 days, during the 150th Open Championship, at the renowned Rule Pub in St. Andrews town. There were a number of high level events which were attended by several touring professionals. To ensure that the public were fully entertained in the evenings, Optimal Analysis ran the Sports Coach simulator on behalf of leading magazine Golf Punk and offered enthusiasts the chance to hit the famous 18th green on the simulator. On Wednesday evening there was an event organised, using the original hickory clubs from St. Andrews Golf Company, which gave golfers the chance to play in the same conditions as the 1st Open, some 150 years ago.
