Trnava dates back to the 13th century and is one of the oldest cities in Slovakia. Situated 40 miles north east of the capital Bratislava, tourists are attracted to the region for its architecture and history. Since the establishment of Slovakia in 1993, the Trnava region has also flourished in manufacturing, most notably with the arrival of French car manufacturer PSA, which began construction of a large automobile plant in 2003.
Hotels in the region enjoy the benefit of business and tourism, and one hotel in particular, Hotel Inka, has gone one step further to ensure it receives a sizeable share of available custom. This year, the hotel has constructed a dedicated lounge bar with a platinum golf simulator installed. It is made available for professionals and also beginners who are keen to take lessons and learn this popular sport.
