Greece Comes to London

During the last week in March, the U.K and Ireland Greek Tourism Office hosted 'Visit Greece', a free public event at the Westfield shopping centre in Sheperds Bush, London.
The week long event featured an interactive Greek activities over 1.500 square metres to advertise Greece as a major tourist destination. Vistitors were given opportunity to enjoy educational presentations from Greek chefs and sample traditional Greek dishes and wine. For those seeking relaxation spa treatments, a Greek beach and a sailing simulator to explore the greek islands was available. Visitors looking for activities could try their hand at rock climbing and golf.

A Sports Coach GPS Golf Simulator was on display to promote the Costa Navarino Dunes course- a world class waterfront golf course in Messinia, southwest of Peloponnese. The course, designed by former US Masters Champion and Ryder Cup Captain Bernhard Langer, combines large undulating greens, wide fairways and steep pot bunkers, and it features a links element to add to its unique style.

Visitors keen to play, were given the opportunity to try their skills at a nearest the pin competition on the 10th hole. Interacting with the Golf Simulator on the Costa Navarino course has resulted in a number of enquires for resort bookings, green fees, academy clinics and real estate interest.
