Simulator Draws Attention at German Golf Shows
The Hanse Golf fair, held recently at Hamburg Messe and Congress in North Germany, brought together industry professionals, retailers, producers and manufacturers, each sharing ideas and expertise. The event covered more than 8,000 square meters of exhibition space showcasing an international range of golf equipment, fashion, accessories and machinery in the golf industry. The show was not short of the big players, which included Bridgestone, Callaway, Nike, Ping, Precept, Titlist and Wilson among others. Much of the equipment could be tested on two driving ranges covering 950 sqm that could accommodate up to 16 players at a time. Visitors also took part in activities which included a 22 metre longest putt challenge. Sports Coach Germany and Golf Range presented a Nearest The Pin competition at Gut Larchenhof on the GPS Gold Simulator and a putting contest alongside, which both drew plenty of attention. Golftage Munchen followed in Munich in the South. Sports Coach Germany also attended with Golf Range and presented one of the highlights of the show. The simulator, equipped with dual high speed camera technology, showed impressive results as it was used to demonstrate the driving range, practice greens, virtual chip and nearest the pin. Visitors were surprised to learn that the Sports Coach simulator has the largest golf course library in the world with 40 standard courses that can be expanded to 160.
