Sports Coach Dominate at The Open Championship

Darren Clarke won his first major title after 54 attemps after claiming a three shot victory over Americans Phil Mickleson and Dustin Johnston at the 140th Open Championship hosted at Sandwich, Kent for the 14th time from Sunday 10th - Sunday 17th July 2011.

The course has always proven to be a challenge for the finest golfers, and this year, many of the 200,000 spectators took up the opportunity to practice this fantastic links course on one of many golf simulators available within the tented village.

Sports Coach Systems was selected for now less than seven golf simulator hires at the event. The simulators were used to offer nearest the pin and longest drive contests, course clinics, putting contests, Ultimate Golf lessons and corporate hospitality. Next year's open Championship will be held at Royal Lytham & St Annes and will also feature Sports Coach golf simulators.
