UPS continued their tour with the UPS Eco Golf Simulator in July 2011 with an exhibit at The Open Championship in Sandwich, Kent. The Sports Coach golf simulator, powered by 10 solar panels which captures and converts natural light into electricity, was used for interactive professional instruction.
The UPS Eco Simulator provided a unique three dimensional perspective of the 163 yard 16th par 3 hole at Royal St Georges and offered members of the public a chance to hit a shot from tee to green. Those who took part were given the opportunity to see their swing on a live video replay, examine the detailed post shot analysis, and gain professional advice from PGA experts. With all this information taken on board, golfers could take another shot to see the immediate improvements gained.
