Sports Stars Test Cottrell Park Simulators

Sporting legends leuan Evans, Welsh 400m hurdler, Matt Elias, the new head coach for Welsh Athletics, and former boxer Nicky Piper were recently invited to test their skills on the £120,000 golf simulator investment installed at Cottrell Park in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Cottrell Park was the first in the UK to install Platinum Simulators, having removed 10 driving range bays to make space for the new centre. The simulators offer over 100 courses including the clubs own courses - Mackintosh and Button Gwinnett.

The trend for Driving Ranges to incorporate golf simulators into their facility is on the increase, with interest not only from the UK, but from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas. As technology improves, golf centres are seeing the benefits of golf simulators as they can offer 365 days of golf whatever the weather in addition to offering detailed analysis to players that is difficult to measure from a driving range.
