Prisma, a hypermarket chain with about 50 shops around Finland and the Baltic states, is part of the largest chain of hypermarkets and hotels in Finland. Recently the chain embarked on a novel idea to generate more custom. By turning the second floor into a major leisure attraction on one of their sites, the group has created an environment that offers play activities for children and an indoor golf facility for adults. The benefit from this is that mothers can spend more time shopping, whilst fathers can relax playing golf whilst also keeping children busy in the play area. Following this successful trial, Prisma is now seeking to roll out the golf simulator into its many hypermarkets and hotels throughout Finland.
