The Madrid Golf Show took place between Friday the 15th and Sunday the 17th of March at Feria de Madrid. It is the only international golf show in Spain for trade visitors and golfers representing all activities within the golf industry. The event that offered golfers the opportunity to try out the latest golf equipment and technology. One of the world’s longest drivers Gerard Pera, from the United States was on hand to show his powerful drives on three simulators with one of his drives reaching 327 meters. Of the three simulators he tried, he found that the Sports Coach simulator was the most accurate. With the economic crisis in Spain and Madrid not being chosen as the venue for the 2018 Ryder Cup, there was some doubt as to whether the event would attract visitors. However, the show proved to be a great success with approximately 16,000 attending.
