Swedish Club Fitters Opt For Sports Coach

Kalmar Golf Store in Sweden has installed the Gold GPS Golf Simulator and are using it for both hourly hire and for retailing golf clubs, using the custom club fitting functionality. When winter weather stops play on courses in Sweden, golfers have an opportunity to improve their golf on the simulator until the next season starts. Each winter, Kalmar run a competition on one of the courses available on the simulator. In 2013, Ballybunion Old course was selected with the first prize, being a trip with their Club Professional Louis Fornell to the PGA Catalunya in Spain. The system is used extensively for club fitting, first to capture the players swing pattern and ball flight. The simulator is then used to compare different shafts, grip and length. Golfers can test their old clubs and the new custom club to feel and see the difference it makes. Kalmar extends its fitting service to "game fitting" - which involves building a set of clubs for the player from woods, hybrids, irons and wedges.
